LAS VEGAS -- The transcripts from the grand jury hearing that led to Gloria Lee's indictment were obtained by 8 News NOW. It is the first time Lee's side of the story is heard.

At first, Lee stuck by her story that she was last at her pet store 9:30 the night it burned down.

A federal ATF agent says that Lee was hesitant to allow police to look at surveillance video recordings of the minutes before the fire. She insisted on watching the video alongside the ATF agent.

When an ATF agent pointed out Lee was on the video at 12:30 that night, the agent says Lee changed her story. She claimed three men holding handguns and a rifle carjacked her in the parking lot outside the store.

Lee said that the gunmen told her to shut up, get in the back of the store and grab her files. Lee blamed her estranged husband for the crime.

The agents told the grand jury they didn't buy her story, especially when they saw Lee in the video with a man, identified by police as Kirk Bills, spreading gasoline around the pet shop.

The two are accused of attempting to set the store on fire while there were 27 puppies inside.

Federal fire investigators say when a fire starts accidentally it starts in one location. They say the fire at Gloria Lee's pet store started in five different spots at the same time.

The agents add puppies can be seen trapped in cages as Bills spreads gasoline just in front of their kennels.
