UPDATE: Teen Killed on a Motocross Bike Identified

LAS VEGAS -- The 14-year-old killed on after being struck by a truck on State Route 165 has been identified as Christian Hipszky-Stringer from Canon City, Colorado, the Clark County Coroner's Office reported.

The teen, who was wearing a helmet, was riding a Kawasaki Motocross bike Thursday afternoon when he was struck on SR165, near Nelson's Landing.

Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Loy Hixson said the crash happened around 2:25 p.m. Nelson's Landing is about 30 miles south of Boulder City.

The family was camping in the area and were riding off-road vehicles when the crash occurred.
