HENDERSON, Nev. - A driver says a traffic light is desperately needed at Volunteer Boulevard and Via Firenze. The driver says the corners are blind, and motorists cannot see oncoming traffic.
Traffic8 reported in Spring 2012 that residents of the Inspirada community, who use Volunteer and Via Firenze as their main entrance, wanted a traffic signal. Landscaping made it difficult for them to see cross traffic.
Traffic8 helped launch a signal study in 2012 which found a signal is needed.
The hold-up stems from work in the area that is needed to complete the road, lane markings, signage, lights and sidewalks.
Traffic lights with crosswalks and walk signals are being installed in the fall, and are expected to be fully operational by the end of year.
