LAS VEGAS -- Clark County School Superintendant Pat Skorkowsky is seeking input from parents on the school district's strategic plan, which is currently being drafted.
The plan has seven areas to measure school progress and among them are "college and career readiness" and "value for taxpayer dollar."
"It's a targeted approach that everything we do from here on out will filter through those seven focus areas and to the board's strategic imperatives that align directly to those focus areas," Skorkowsky said. "So everything we do will not only be tied to the work but it'll also be tied to the budget so we're making sure we put our money where the priorities are in the district.
Monday night's meeting was held at Bonanza High School, which is in District E.
Skorkowsky and School Board Trustee Patrice Tew met the parents, and did some explaining and some listening.
More meetings will be held, at least one in every district.
