LAS VEGAS -- Metro Police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and two people injured.
It happened just before 6 p.m. Sunday in the 1900 block of Western Avenue near Oakey Boulevard. Metro Lt. Ray Steiber says when officers responded to the call, they found two people with gunshot wounds.
Further investigation revealed a third person suffering from gunshot wounds. All three victims were taken to area hospitals, where one person died.
Police say the two surviving victims were in surgery Sunday night.
Lt. Steiber says a dispute between the victims may have led to the shooting. It happened inside an auto repair shop. Investigators believe the victims knew each other, but it is unclear if they were employees at the business.
Police are still investigating who fired the shots and have not released the identities of any of the people involved.
