Teens Arrested in Connection with Auto Burglaries in Henderson

Posted: Updated:

Henderson, Nev.-- Henderson police have arrested four teens in connection with a number of thefts from vehicles in a residential neighborhood near College and Mission drives.

Police say a 24-year old Henderson man suffered non-life-threatening injuries after approaching one suspect who was breaking into the car parked in front of his home.

The victim chased the 17-year-old suspect and police say the teen stabbed the man with a folding pocket knife.

After the incident, the suspects continued to burglarize vehicles, police said. Another resident caught and held a 16-year-old suspect until police arrived.

The teens face a number of charges including burglary, possession of stolen property and assault and battery with a knife.

Henderson police say the four only entered unlocked vehicles, so there was not damage to any cars.

They believe the suspects may have been involved in a string of recent auto burglaries in Henderson.
