HENDERSON, Nev. - A viewer says the intersection of Maryland Parkway and St. Rose Parkway is scary. He says a traffic light is needed to slow down speeders.
He adds drivers who are trying to turn north onto Maryland Parkway will jump out of line - cutting off cars while St. Rose commuters fly by. He calls it the "St. Rose Expressway".
City of Henderson officials say they have opened the bidding process for construction of a traffic signal at St. Rose and Maryland to address the issues there.
The bids were forwarded to the Nevada Department of Transportation in December for approval. Once the NDOT process is completed, the construction contract will be awarded, and the project proceeds.
