Las Vegas-- One person is dead and another injured after an early morning crash.

It happened around 2:30 Sunday near North Durango Drive and West Washburn Road.

Witnesses told police that a 2003 Toyota Tacoma was going west on Washburn approaching a stop sign at Durango.

A 1994 Chrysler New Yorker was going south on Durango and approaching Washburn when the Toyota failed to stop at the stop sign and hit the left side of the Chrysler.

It slid and came to a stop on the southwest corner of the intersection. The Toyota overturned and slid west, ejecting the driver, before coming to a rest in the upright position.

The 38-year old driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger was taken to University Medical Center with moderate injuries.

The driver and the passenger of the Chrysler had minor injuries and remained at the scene.

This is the 13th traffic related death in Metro's jurisdiction so far this year.
