Two Killed in Overnight Crash

Las Vegas-- Metro police is investigating a crash that killed two people late Friday night.

It happened just before 1:00 am near West Ogden Avenue and City Parkway.

Witnesses told police a 2005 Hyundai Sonata was going east on Ogden at a high rate of speed.

The driver, 21-year old Sardaryan Bronik, lost control of the vehicle at a curve in the roadway. It then rotated counter-clockwise as it slid towards the center line of the roadway.

The front of the vehicle hit a bridge pier and the vehicle was redirected into the westbound lanes of Ogden where it came to a rest.

Bronik and 20-year old Joanne Zermeno were taken to University Medical Center. She was pronounced dead at the hospital. Bronik is in serious condition.

Another passenger, 21-year old Briana Medina, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The deaths are the 11th and 12th traffic related fatalities in Metro's jurisdiction so far this year.
