LAS VEGAS - A driver asks why Twain Avenue is closed for 100 yards between Tenaya Way and Buffalo Drive.
The driver called the closure an annoying inconvenience and a travel challenge for Spring Valley High School students and nearby neighbors.
Some of those neighbors are the reason, however, Twain does not go through. Residents in the subdivision south of Twain requested the closure.
They didn't want Twain to serve as cul-de-sacs between Buffalo and Tenaya. The closure blocks traffic from the high school on their quiet streets.
The county paved an asphalt path for bikes, but the barrier rail is in place to prevent cars from driving through. This road will not open for the foreseeable future.
