Coroner: 2 Boys Died from Injuries Received in Fire

LAS VEGAS -- The Clark County Coroner's Office announced Tuesday that the two boys found dead after a fire in a trailer died from injuries received in the blaze.

According to the coroner, 11-year-old Andrew Najera and 15-year-old Jerry Slayden Jr. died from acute carbon monoxide toxicity and extensive burns. Their deaths were ruled accidental.

The fire started in the early morning hours of Jan. 26. in a trailer that was parked near a Slayden's grandmother's home, which is close to Carey Avenue and Lamb Boulevard.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
