Las Vegas-- Metro Police are investigating a deadly motorcycle crash that happened early Saturday morning near Oakey and Martin Luther King boulevards.
They say a 21-year old Trenton Gleaton was driving a 2014 Kawasaki sport motorcycle, when he failed to stay in his lane while going eastbound on Oakey Boulevard approaching Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
The bike ran off the right side of the roadway onto the south sidewalk and continued eastbound, crashing into the base of a street light pole.
Police say the bike then burst into flames. Drivers passing by stopped and pulled the man's body from the burning wreckage.
He was taken to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
This is the sixth traffic related fatality in Metro's jurisdiction so far this year.
