Driving You Crazy: Cycling Signal at Cactus and Decatur

Posted: Updated:

LAS VEGAS - A viewer says a traffic signal at Cactus Avenue and Decatur Boulevard goes through all cycles even when no cars are present.

The signal in question is where Decatur becomes Southern Highlands Parkway. The Regional Transportation Commission handles timing issues. This light's, consistent cycling was determined to be a hardware problem, not trouble with timing.

County crews determined the signal wasn't receiving enough power, causing it to malfunction. On Wednesday, county signal technicians replaced the power supply to the video detection processor.

The traffic signal is again operating correctly.
