LAS VEGAS -- The Clark County Coroner's Office has identified a Las Vegas man and woman who died after their car was hit head-on by a pickup truck Wednesday afternoon.

Coroner's officials say 20-year-old Savanna Gonzales, the driver, and 31-year-old Frank Spenia, her passenger, were killed in the crash on eastbound Summerlin Parkway at Rampart Boulevard.

According to troopers, the crash happened at around 4:11 p.m. Wednesday, when a black pickup truck crossed from the westbound lanes, over the center median and into eastbound traffic.

The truck crashed head on into a white Toyota Corolla killing two people.

The third person, the 51-year-old driver of the truck, was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition. NHP suspects the driver of the truck was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

"As we continued with our investigation we were able to determine with the troopers at UMC that we suspect alcohol did play a factor in this incident and we know that driver of that pick up truck is still in critical condition at UMC," NHP Trooper Loy Hixson said.

Eastbound Summerlin Parkway re-opened at 9:15 p.m.
