State Hires Law Firm in Alleged Patient Dumping Case

LAS VEGAS -- The state has agreed to pay a California law firm as much as $339,000 to defend allegations of patient dumping at a state psychiatric hospital in Las Vegas.

The lawsuit, filed by the city of San Francisco, alleges Rawson-Neal Psychiatric Hospital sent mentally ill patients by bus to California for treatment.
