HENDERSON, Nev. - A viewer says traffic problems occur daily as vehicles merge from southbound Valle Verde Drive to I-215.
Most of the problems occur as vehicles turn right from southbound Valle Verde, fail to yield and cut off other vehicles or turn left from a green light onto the 215.
The viewer says the yield sign is too far back. She wants the sign closer to the road. Engineers reviewed the idea of placing the sign in the median island, but determined it would likely be hit by a car.
With two northbound lanes merging onto the ramp, drivers are advised to use the inside or left lane to avoid unyielding drivers.
Those drivers are supposed to yield, however, so Traffic 8 has alerted Henderson Police for the possibility of increased enforcement.
