LAS VEGAS -- One of the latest victims of a flu-related death is a child, Southern Nevada Health District officials said Monday.
The total number of flu-related deaths in Clark County is now at 12. Since the beginning of flu season, three young adults, three middle-aged individuals, five elderly people and one child have died. Health officials did not release any additional information on the child's death.
Health district officials encourage everyone, 6 months and older, to get a flu shot. Adults over the age of 65, pregnant women and children under the age of 2 years old are considered high risk.
