LAS VEGAS - A viewer says the crosswalk and pedestrian island at Maryland Parkway and Reno Avenue has exceeded expectations.
Many people say they felt pedestrians risked their lives at this intersection due to a faded crosswalk that many drivers could not see.
In May 2013, Traffic8 requested a well-marked, refreshed, improved crosswalk. That is exactly what crews installed, thanks to the good work of Clark County.
Maryland Parkway and Reno is vastly improved. The area now includes a pedestrian-activated crosswalk flasher, ADA-compliant sidewalk ramps, new pavement, fresh paint, and a pedestrian island.
