LAS VEGAS - A valley driver says southbound Paradise Road between Twain Avenue and Corporate Drive is riddled with bumps and divots. She asks if there are plans to repave it.
This rough road is far from paradise. Those deep divots can cause steering misalignment, tire punctures, bent rims or worse. The broken asphalt bubbles and cracks right under your tires.
The county plans to reconstruct Paradise through $3 million in fuel revenue funds. That money will pay for the Regional Transportation Commission's study and design of the convention corridor, which includes Paradise between Sahara Avenue and Russell Road. That study starts this year.
The county will use those plans when they reconstruct, improve, and pave Paradise from Twain Avenue to Harmon Avenue. That work is slated for 2016 and 2017.
