Nevada November Taxable Sales Up 2 Percent

LAS VEGAS -- Taxable sales in Nevada were up 2 percent in November 2013 over the same month in 2012.

According to a report released Tuesday by the Department of Taxation, the largest increases were seen in food services and drinking places, utilities, motor vehicle and parts dealers, clothing and food manufacturing.

Merchants sold $3.7 billion in goods in November 2013 and collected $296 million in taxes. Statewide, 10 of Nevada's counties reported increased sales activity.
