LAS VEGAS --  The names of more than a dozen new tenants for The Shops at Summerlin were announced by the Howard Hughes Corporation Tuesday.

The Shops at Summerlin is under construction and expected to be open by the end of 2014. The tenants will include True Religion, Michael Kors, Sephora, Victoria's Secret, The Art of Shaving, American Eagle, Bath & Body Works, Buckle, Clark's, Everything but Water, It'Sugar, Old Navy, Pandora, Resto Lounge Sur La Table, Teavana and Ulta.

When complete, the development just east of the 215 Beltway and Charleston Avenue, will feature 125 stores and restaurants in a streetscape setting.

"It is going to be pedestrian-friendly urban village with offices and urban homes and cafes on pedestrian-friendly streets," Tom Warden with Howard Hughes Corporation said.

The Shops at Summerlin is part of a planned urban center that will be known as Downtown Summerlin. It will also include office, entertainment, residential and hotel space.

"There is tremendous pent-up demand in the community to create the ultimate venue for shopping, dining and entertainment, and the exceptional retailers we're bringing to The Shops at Summerlin will create and unrivaled experience for area residents and visitors," said Kevin Orrock, president of Summerlin.

It previously announced that Dillard's, Macy's and the Nordstrom Rack will be in the development.

When finished, the retail center will provide about 2,000 permanent jobs.

Not far down the street, another shopping is adding more businesses. Village Square at Ft. Apache Road and Sahara Avenue recently finished its remodel with new signs, new parking and new businesses.

Right now, a new 24-hour cocktail and gaming bar is being finished. Besides the drinks, the Lion's Tail Tavern will serve food from Bachi Burger, which is next door.

"We all support each other. We're all locals, this is our community and friends and businesses," Lion's Tail Tavern owner Ted Mamola said, "I do have faith in our city and this economy. Vegas always comes back. We might come back last, but we come back strong."
