LAS VEGAS-- The family of one of the people killed in an overnight fire has identified him as 15-year-old Jerry Slayden, Jr.

Slayden and another person were found dead inside a trailer early Sunday morning.

The Clark County Fire Department responded to the fire at around 3:30 a.m. Sunday in a neighborhood near Carey Avenue and Lamb Boulevard.

Officials say when crews arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the trailer, which was parked on a residential lot next to an occupied home. The family tells 8 News NOW that the home belonged to Slayden's grandmother.

Once the fire was out, Clark County and North Las Vegas firefighters discovered the two bodies inside.

The cause of the fire is unknown. The identity of the second victim has not been identified.
