LAS VEGAS -- Metro Police busted three marijuana grow houses Friday and confiscated more than  700 plants.

One of the homes raided was on Lily Haven Avenue near Sandhill Road and Patrick Lane. Police arrested a California ex-felon and charged him with marijuana possession with intent to distribute. According to sources close to the case, the arrested man had associates who were connected to two other rental homes in Las Vegas also used as grow houses. They are located near Bermuda Road and Cactus Avenue and Decatur Boulevard and Windmill Lane.

Police placed the estimated street value of the marijuana at around $800,000. They are working to identify more people connected to the case.

An alligator was also found in one of the homes and was turned over to the Nevada Division of Wildlife.
