Couple Indicted in Road-Rage Shooting

LAS VEGAS -- A woman accused of a Dec. 23 road-rage shooting on the Las Vegas Strip was indicted by a Clark County grand jury Wednesday on attempted murder charges.

Brittanie Merritt-Burwell, 21 of Glendale, Ariz., also was charged with felony discharge of a firearm and battery with use of a deadly weapon resulting in substantial bodily harm. A co-defendant, Joshua Youngblood, 28 of Glendale, Ariz., was charged with carrying a concealed firearm or other deadly weapon.

Merritt-Burwell is accused of shooting a man in the neck in what witnesses and police describe as a traffic dispute.

Bail was set at $750,000 for Merritt-Burwell and $250,000 for Youngblood, both of whom remain in custody at the Clark County Detention Center. They are scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 22.
