LAS VEGAS (AP) -- A Las Vegas man has been arrested in the death of his wife after turning himself in at the police station.

Police say Richard Magdayo Dahan walked into a station lobby on Friday afternoon, signed in and waited about 20 minutes before being called to the counter.

The 40-year-old Dahan told an employee he had just committed a crime by killing his wife.

Police say the unemployed chef described in bloody detail how he stabbed his wife to death in their apartment kitchen, and said he'd do it again.

Dahan told police his wife, 28-year-old Daisy Dahan, was sitting at the kitchen table when he attacked her with a chef knife, a meat cleaver and a filet knife.

Police went to his Las Vegas apartment unit and found Daisy Dahan dead from apparent multiple stab wounds.

According to police, Dahan said his wife wanted a divorce after a little more than two years of marriage, but he wanted to stay together.

Detectives say the couple were experiencing recent marital problems, had no known history of domestic violence.

Richard Dahan told police he was a kidney transplant recipient who lost his job as a chef at a casino.

Dahan was booked into the Clark County jail on one count of open murder with a deadly weapon. His next court appearance is set for Wednesday.
