Brown No Longer Running to Lead Water Agency

Posted: Updated:

LAS VEGAS -- County Commissioner Larry Brown has withdrawn his name to replace Pat Mulroy as the head of the Southern Nevada Water Authority.

Brown sent a letter to his fellow commissioners Monday letting them know he was removing his name for consideration for general manager of the Las Vegas Valley Water District and the water authority.

Brown's withdrawal means just one candidate, John Entsminger, is left.

Mulroy is retiring from the agency. She will leave the post Feb. 6.
