UPDATE: Metro Police confirm that the missing Kentucky woman Jena Chisholm was spotted in Las Vegas. Tim Chisholm, her father, said she was seen near The Quad Resort and Casino Thursday night around 10 p.m. He said police told him that security verified her through her ID, but did not know she had been reported missing. Chisholm said she was seen with a man who appeared to be homeless. "We have no indication at this point that she's under any type of duress or any type of danger," said Bill Cassell, Las Vegas police spokesman.

LAS VEGAS - Metro Police say the car of a 20-year-old woman who vanished from Kentucky has been found in Las Vegas. The vehicle was located on Cambridge Street near Twain Avenue and Maryland Parkway.

Witnesses say the car was towed from a Siegel Suites apartment complex. Police are searching the vehicle for evidence.

Police say Jena Chisholm remains missing. Her last contact with her family in Kentucky occurred Dec. 19.

Jena Chisholm was last seen in Florence, Ky. According to WCPO-TV, her sister said, "She told me she was going to Vegas, but she told me she was going after Christmas."

After enabling a GPS app on the 20-year-old's smart phone, her family was able to track her to St. Louis, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and then back to Las Vegas.

"We tried to call. We tried to text. She didn't answer a thing," her mother told WCPO-TV.

Chisholm told her family she would be back for a doctor's appointment on Dec. 26, but never came home.

Her dog, Chamber, was found tied to a fence outside Diamond Inn, a motel on the south side of the Strip near Mandalay Bay.

The woman who found him, Melanie Downard, said the phone number on the dog's tag was not working. "I researched the number and traced it to her parents who live in Kentucky," she said.

The motel owner told Downard Chamber was left abandoned Monday inside a room.

"She would never leave her dog anywhere," Tim Chisholm, her father, told 8 News NOW by phone Thursday afternoon. "That was her best friend and companion."

Jena left her home in a 2006 powder blue Volkswagen Beetle convertible with Kentucky plates: 316 MYB.

Chisholm is 5'1", weighs 110 pounds, and has light blonde hair with brown eyes. Jena has two tattoos: a black rag doll over her left clavicle and a large red and black tattoo on her right torso.

Her parents told WCPO-TV she was in the process of being evaluated for mental health issues after she dropped out of school, quit her job, and stopped talking to friends.

"She had been going through, for lack of a better term, some depression, I think, with a lot of life events that have occurred over the last three months," her father told 8 News NOW. "I think there was a part of her that wanted to get away for a little bit and kind clear her head up."

Chamber is expected to be flown back to Kentucky Friday evening, however, the search for Jena continues.

"We've been praying for them and there's a lot of people looking for her in Vegas, so hopefully she can be found," said Downard.

If you have any information about Chisholm's whereabouts, you're urged to contact the Las Vegas Metro Police Department at 702-828-3111.

A "Find Jena Chisholm" Facebook page has also been set up.
