Man Arrested for Ramming Police Cars with Stolen Vehicle

Posted: Updated:

LAS VEGAS -- A Las Vegas man is under arrest after police say he stole several cars then rammed a police car while trying to get away from officers.

Metro Police arrested 23-year-old Samual Donesing on three counts of grand larceny auto, possession of a stolen vehicle, auto burglary and prohibited person in possession of a firearm.

According to police, at just before 10 a.m. Tuesday near Decatur Boulevard and Flamingo Road, an officer pulled over the driver of a black Mercedes that had been reported stolen in a home burglary. Police say the driver was Donesing, who was already wanted on a felony warrant involving possession of another stolen vehicle.

When officers surrounded the car, they say Donesing rammed the Mercedes into two Metro cars, then sped from the scene.

Because of the damage from the crash, Donesing's vehicle stopped working near Spring Mountain Road and Decatur Boulevard, which is where police arrested him.

Detectives say they found a stolen handgun inside the car.
