Shots Fired at Downtown Greyhound Bus Station

LAS VEGAS -- A man is under arrest on charges that he fired a gun several times inside and outside the Greyhound Bus Station downtown.

According to police, the incident happened at around 6:40 p.m. Thursday night at the station on Main Street near Bridger Avenue.

Police say 64-year-old James Abney of Forney, Texas had been asked to leave the bus station several times but refused.

Following the last request, Abney brought out a small handgun and started firing, officers said, at least some of the shots were aimed at the security guards. No one was hurt.

Abney is being charged with attempted murder, attempted battery with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm at or into an occupied structure.
