LAS VEGAS - A valley driver says the light at McLeod Drive and Patrick Lane is mistimed. The light for north and south traffic stays red, while the east/west light cycles. The driver says she recently sat through four cycles of lights while waiting for the light to turn green.
Traffic8 asked RTC FAST to investigate. RTC FAST representatives say the signal is set to video detection during all cycles throughout the day, which means the lights change only when cars are present.
FAST crews monitored the detection and didn't find any issues. When cars were present, they were detected, and the light changed accordingly. Traffic8 also asked Clark County to check the equipment.
The light seems to be running normally now, but Traffic8 will continue to monitor this intersection.
