LAS VEGAS -- A Henderson man convicted of voluntary manslaughter with the use of a deadly weapon could spend as many as 15 years in prison.
Frank Nichols III initially told police an intruder attacked and killed his father in July. An investigation determined there was no intruder. Nichols later told police he got into a fight with his father and stabbed him.
Nichols, who pled guilty in October, was sentenced Monday to a minimum of four years to 10 years in prison on the manslaughter conviction. He was also sentenced from 18 months to four years for the use of a deadly weapon.
