LAS VEGAS - Drivers are thankful for some of the road problems Traffic8 has helped fix thanks to What's Driving You Crazy.
Many who live along Sunset Road dealt with the dangerous prospect of driving in the dark. Traffic8's efforts helped uncover a wiring problem. Crews fixed the problem, and the street lights are once again operating.
A car crash near Blue Diamond Road and Dean Martin Drive damaged a signal pole, resulting in a broken pedestrian signal. Traffic8 helped get county crews to replace the pole and reconnect the wiring. The timing pattern for drivers and pedestrians is now back to normal.
The existence of two stop bars at Warm Springs Road and Rainbow Boulevard mystified motorists. After Traffic8's segment aired, crews removed the incorrect stop bar, ending the unnecessary confusion of where drivers are supposed to stop.
Chaos and confusion ensued on the Strip as black lines, reflective dots, and former older lines provided a bad combination for drivers. Traffic8 was able to get Clark County to launch a project to mill, overlay, and re-stripe these problematic pavement markings.
A pothole emerged at the busy freeway interchange of 215 and I-15. With the help of county crews and Traffic8, this pothole was fixed in two days.
Finally, a single turn lane at Boulder Highway and Sahara Avenue confused many motorists. Traffic 8 helped get it re-lined and re-striped, resulting in three full turn lanes at that intersection.
