HENDERSON, Nev. -- Barclaycard US announced it is opening a customer contact center in Henderson next year.
The company is expected to hire 400 new employees in 2014. Once it is fully operational, it will employ 1,000 workers.
"We're very excited to become a member of the Henderson community," said Patrick Wright, Chief Operating Officer for Barclaycard US. "We are focused on enhancing the customer experience with our business. This state-of-the-art center coupled with the fantastic workforce in Nevada will help us accomplish this."
The center will be located in the Green Valley Corporate Center. The center will provide customer support for cardmembers who participate in the 40 co-branded credit card partnerships offered by Barclaycard.
Employees will work in customer service, collections, retention support and Spanish language service.

Some medical providers say they often deal with Hispanic patients who are afraid to seek medical care. It's hoped the opening of a new medical clinic will change that.
