LAS VEGAS - Drivers are grateful for Traffic 8's help with getting a three-lane turn installed at Boulder Highway and Sahara Avenue.
Months ago, the intersection included one turn lane. Because of the confusing lane striping, drivers tried to turn it into a double turn lane.
The Nevada Department of Transportation had Las Vegas Paving install traffic drums to close the inside left-turn lane. That ended the confusion. Traffic 8 continued asking if this temporary fix could become permanent.
It now is. The lanes have been relined and re-striped with full, finished turn lanes and a clear picture as to which lane drivers should take.
The final step of this $9 million, long overdue storm drain project is done. NDOT responded quickly to dozens of complaints and turned this troubling intersection into one of consistent clarity.
