Some children come into the foster care system so young, they really don't know anything else. That's the case with the sibling set of three that you'll meet today. Dave Courvoisier introduces us to today's Wednesday's Child.
We visited the Pumpkin Patch right around Halloween time, and told the kids we were choosing pumpkins for Thanksgiving. The finer points of that concept were lost on these three, who just wanted to ride the rides.
Whatever they do, they do it as a group of three... Something their foster mother says just comes naturally..
"It is very important (keeping them together) because they are because all they know is each other, they don't have anyone but each other, and if one goes somewhere, there always concerned about where is the other one, so it would be great if they would just keep the bond, because that's all they have is each other," says Rochanda, the kids' foster mother.
Novalee is the oldest at six. She and her little sister Karma love to play together.
"She loves dolls her and her sister loves to play dolls, they pretend that they're going to school they put the dolls in time out of they don't do right, so it's just pretend so she just loves her goals she loves her dolls," admits Rochanda
Alante is in the middle. He loves to play with cars, and loves the movie "Cars" but has a great heart for others.
"Affectionate guy... affectionate guy very caring, concerned about other people's feelings wondering if they're okay if someone's hurt he wants to know if they're okay, very caring very caring little boy," adds Rochanda
More than anything they need a permanent home with lots of love and attention:
"They are wonderful children they are very smart, they're intelligent, they are just, and they are helpful, they are just wonderful children. You know they haven't had that in their life, they've been in so long, to where you know they haven't had a stable person to just say hey I love you, you know, or you're doing great, you're doing wonderful," claims Rochanda.
These three are open for adoption now, and you can get started being approved right now, by calling the Adoption Exchange at 436-6335.
