LAS VEGAS -- Whether you're a gamer looking for a new gadget or wondering what to buy the technology lover on your gift list. Holiday shopping is about to get more fun! Microsoft is opening a new retail store inside Fashion Show Mall.

The store, which opens Thursday, is filled tomorrow filled with the latest gadgets on the market. The new Xbox One is expected to be one of the most popular items this Christmas. Shopper even get a chance to play the game before making a purchase.

Employees at the new Microsoft retail store were busy making sure everything is ready for the crowds at Thursday's grand opening.

"I work at the mall so hopefully I get here before everyone else," Microsoft fan Martin Sneed said.

Whether it's the latest tablet, like a Surface Pro 2 or a new smart phone, employees are confident shoppers will find what they need. The store also offers free theater space where people can plan parties or meetings.

"We have seen some really interesting growth in the tech community. We are excited in the Microsoft store to be able to offer devices and services to small business and large business customers," store manager Douglas Meier said.

This is the first Microsoft store to open in the Las Vegas market.

"It's a really beautiful blend of great retail shops, also dining and entertainment experiences, it's really a hub of fashion and technology as well, we are proud of this location, feels like it gives us great access to folks visiting from town, from trade shows, and our local shoppers as well," Meier said.

Microsoft will have a midnight launch party for the Xbox One the night of Nov. 21. Serious gamers are already planning to attend.

"I'm looking forward to seeing all the things they have for it. I know Microsoft has neat features where you can watch TV and plug into your Xbox. I'm excited about that," said Sigi Bustillos.

The store opens at noon on Thursday, but customers should plan to arrive early for a chance to win giveaways. The first 100 people in line will get a free ticket to the special music performance by Pitbull Thursday night at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
