LAS VEGAS - A viewer says a large pothole on eastbound 215 at the I-15 exit desperately needs attention.
Potholes are created by colder temperatures, moisture, erosion and numerous cars on the road. The biggest issue seems to be moisture. Water gets into the base. The base gets soft. Asphalt is affected. Cracking can occur, and potholes are presented.
In the case of the large freeway pothole on 215, the cause may be the thousands of vehicles that travel that road each day.
Traffic8 informed Clark County officials about the pothole in the right center lane at the tip of the reserve gore point. County officials quickly issued a work order for their crews. Two days later, the pothole was fixed.
