LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Authorities say a landscaping worker is dead after being injured on the job at The Mirage casino on the Las Vegas Strip.
Clark County coroner's officials say 31-year-old Arturo Mendez died at University Medical Center after he was injured Wednesday morning. A cause of death hasn't been released.
Officials with casino parent company MGM Resorts International say Martinez was trimming trees when he was injured, but didn't explain the nature of the incident.
MGM senior vice president Clark Dumont issued a statement saying the company is mourning the loss of a colleague and keeping his family in their thoughts.
