LAS VEGAS -- Two suspects were arrested in connection with a shooting Tuesday morning that left one person dead and two wounded near Sahara Avenue and Paradise Road.

The shooting happened around 4:30 a.m. at a Sherwood Street apartment. A man and woman suffered gunshot wounds to their ankles and another man, shot in the back, died.

A resident who heard the shots described the suspect's car to police. An officer spotted the vehicle and pulled it over. Two guns were found in the car.

Martell Moten, 22, and Matthew Washington Jr., 23, are now facing charges of murder with a deadly weapon, attempted murder with a deadly weapon, and discharging a firearm into an occupied structure.

According to their arrest reports, Moten and Washington told police they were at the scene of the shooting, but each said they waited in the car while the other did the shooting.
