New Mexico Teacher in Hot Water for Facebook Posts

Posted: Updated:

Facebook posts from a teacher in New Mexico could land her in some hot water and the sheriff's office said they are not taking any chances.

The teacher, who has not been identified, is accused of posting on her Facebook about killing students, KOB-TV reported.

"What she said is she became frustrated after an incident in the classroom yesterday, went home and vented on her facebook page and said I could just kill the kid," school spokesperson Monica Armenta told the station.

After someone apparently commented on her status and told her to use a better choice of words, the teacher reportedly wrote, "yes, kill tomorrow."

She was not at school on Wednesday and is on paid leave, KOB-TV said.

The case is expected to be reviewed by the school district next week.
