LAS VEGAS -- The man police say is accused of a shooting that led to the deaths of three people on the Las Vegas Strip is getting new legal representation.

Ammar Harris, wearing hand restraints, appeared in Clark County District Court Wednesday morning and the judge appointed two private attorneys to represent him in his murder trial.

The Special Public Defenders Office filed a motion earlier this month to withdraw counsel because of an irreconcilable conflict. At issue was Harris' desire to have a speedy trial.

Harris is facing the death penalty in a shooting that resulted in three people being killed on the Las Vegas Strip last February.

Harris' next court appearance is Nov. 25.
