Las Vegas Nightclub Shooter Appears in Court

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- A man suspected of killing a Las Vegas Strip nightclub patron and injuring two employees has made his first appearance in court since leaving the hospital.

Forty-one-year-old Benjamin Frazier hung his head and cast his eyes down Wednesday in Las Vegas Justice Court, where Justice of the Peace Cynthia Cruz set a preliminary hearing for December 13. Frazier faces charges including murder and attempted murder.

Police say the pre-dawn shooting Oct. 21 at Drai's After Hours started with a dispute over a $30 cover charge.

Fraizier is accused of wounding two employees before 40-year-old Kenneth Brown tackled him.

Brown was fatally shot during the struggle, while Frazier injured his head.

Defense attorney Bob Beckett says Frazier doesn't remember the incident but is "shocked and saddened" by reports of what happened.
