LAS VEGAS -- Metro Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident that killed a female pedestrian at Lake Mead Boulevard and North Pecos Road at 11:00 p.m. Friday evening.
Metro says evidence at the scene and witness statements indicate a 1993 Cadillac was traveling northbound on Pecos Road in the right travel lane south of Lake Mead. A pedestrian was attempting to cross Pecos from the east to west outside of a marked crosswalk.
The pedestrian was struck by the Cadillac was pronounced dead on scene.
This collision was the 75th traffic related fatality in LVMPD's jurisdiction this year.
A local business is targeted by vandals twice in the last four months and left a cryptic message. The message is linked to Nazi's and white supremacists with the owner believing the name of his business could be connected.More>>
