Coroner IDs Passenger Killed in Crash

Posted: Updated:

LAS VEGAS - The Clark County Coroner's office has identified one of people killed in the deadly crash that happened along Desert Inn Road Wednesday morning as 21-year-old Jeanina Esser.

According to the arrest report for the man charged in the crash, the driver of the second car was 31-year-old Erick Soto-Soto.

Police arrested 24-year-old Hans Andree Bludau for two counts of DUI resulting in death and two counts of hit and run involving death.

According to police, Bludau was driving while intoxicated and hit the pickup truck that Esser and Soto were in, sending it into a palm tree. The tree crushed the cab of the truck.

Police say Bludau got out of his car and ran into a nearby hotel, which is where officers found him.

The arrest report also says that Bludau told police he had had two glasses of wine with dinner at a restaurant earlier in the evening. The arresting officer says he gave him several field sobriety tests, and he failed them.

The District Attorney's office says that Bludau took a no-contest plea in a DUI case in June 2012. As of Sept. 30 of this year, he had fulfilled the requirements of the plea and the case was closed.
