National Awareness Campaign to Teach CPR

The American Heart Association and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation have teamed up to continue the national awareness campaign and ongoing mobile tour teaching Americans how to perform Hands-Only CPR to the beat of the Bee Gees' hit "Stayin' Alive.

The AHA's Hands-Only CPR tour will make a stop in Las Vegas for an interactive training event September 17-21, 2013 to teach residents this easy-to-learn CPR method. The event locations and details are as follows:

  • Wednesday, Sept. 18th 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fremont Street Experience
  • 4th Street and Fremont Street in front of Slotzilla
  • Thursday, Sept. 19th 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. City of Henderson
  • 240 S. Water Street, in front of City Hall
  • Friday, Sept. 20th 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Findlay Volkswagen 983 Auto Show Drive, Henderson
  • Saturday, Sept. 21st 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy1201 W. Lake Mead Blvd. Multi-purpose Room

"Far too many people die each year from sudden cardiac arrest, and we are determined to help overcome this public health crisis by teaching Las Vegas residents the two simple steps of saving a life," said Mike Murphy, President and General Manager, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Nevada.
