Lanes of US 95 Northbound at Charleston Back Open

LAS VEGAS -- Nevada Highway Patrol says all the lanes of U.S. 95 northbound at Charleston Boulevard is back open following a crash that sparked a two car fire. 

According to Las Vegas Fire and Rescue, at about 11:15 a.m. Monday, a Dodge Challenger was heading northbound on U.S. 95 when it hit an unoccupied Saturn on the side of the road. Both cars caught on fire.

Bystanders pulled the driver from his car before fire crews arrived. He suffered non life threatening injuries, including burns to his arms. He was taken to University Medical Center.

Officials are advising drivers to avoid the area and get off the northbound side of the freeway at Boulder Highway.
