LAS VEGAS -- The Clark County grand jury indicted Timothy Dudley Wednesday on charges of attempted murder with use of a deadly weapon and battery with use of a deadly weapon resulting in substantial bodily harm.
Dudley, a panhandler, is accused of stabbing Zachary Battista on July 14 at 4th and Fremont streets.
According to the District Attorney's office, Dudley severed Battista's pulmonary artery and he almost bleed to death. Doctors at University Medical Center were able to save his life.
Bail was set at $375,000 for Dudley who remains in custody at the Clark County Detention Center.
