LAS VEGAS -- A stolen truck crashed into another vehicle Sunday afternoon, killing one of the occupants of the truck.

According to Metro Police, around 11 a.m., two men from California were loading their truck in the valet area at the Flamingo Hotel when a man jumped into the driver's seat of the truck. Police said, the purported owners of the truck witnessed the theft and jumped into the bed of the truck as the driver sped off.

The suspect was arrested shortly after the crash. He is currently at UMC with non-life threatening injuries. He will be taken into custody after his release from the hospital, police said,

The intersection of Flamingo and Valley View was closed due to the investigation.
