Posted: Updated:

LAS VEGAS -- The motorcyclist killed Tuesday night has been identified as 30-year-old Franklin Savoy, Jr., according to the Clark County Coroner's Office.

The crash occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. Investigators say Savoy, who was on a 2007 Yamaha, was traveling north on Oso Blanca at a high rate of speed when he lost control near Kyle Canyon Road, west of U.S. 95.

The motorcycle veered off the road and struck a chain link fence, ejecting Savoy. He died at the scene. This was the 60th fatal accident in Metro's jurisdiction this year.
