LAS VEGAS -- One airline at McCarran Airport is automating another step of the check-in process with the hope of speeding it up.

British Airways recently started a new bag tagging system at McCarran that allows passengers traveling from Las Vegas to the United Kingdom and across its network to print and attach tags to their own bags at a self-service kiosk.

Customer service staff still will be available to help. Once the tags are printed and attached, you drop luggage at the bag drop desk.

British Airways joins Air Canada and WestJet in offering the service at McCarran.
